Who used the first trampoline?
The first trampoline dates back to the Alaskan Inuits. Originally a large strong blanket was made by sewing walrus hides together. The blanket was 10 to 12 feet wide. One player would sit or stand in the middle of the blanket, and a group of 20-30 players would spread out around the blanket and toss the middle person up into the air. Basic Bouncing. Trampoline’s recorded history goes back to the early 1800s. The Comanche Natives of North America and the Canadian Inuit enjoyed launching people into the air with animal skins. Around the same time, circus acrobats used similar bouncing devices.
