• On arrival all dogs and cats are given a thorough medical assessment by a member of our Veterinary team. Our highly experienced Intake and Triage team that do the initial assessment and then later on the dog would be assessed by our assessors to determine the immediate needs of the dog. They then work closely with our behaviour specialists to fully assess the dog to understand its temperament and behaviour. All cats have a thorough temperament assessment too. All dogs and cats that stay at Battersea for any length of time receives regular temperament assessment updates as their behaviour can change.
