Who thought of creating the ToolbarForMarines?
It was created by two friends who were preparing for their good friends/boyfriends to deploy to Iraq. They were talking about a way to get involved in something that would make the upcoming deployment less stressful, and more interactive. One friend had been through her boyfriend’s deployment, and the other friend was getting ready to experience it for the first time, so they put their heads together and came up with this idea. The toolbar is designed to cater to both the deployed Marine, their loved ones back home, and those who live the Marine Corps everyday. You will find useful links to help with things like shipping packages, understanding the Corps, gift ideas for your deployed marine, blogs, community websites, shopping discounts, etc. Then we decided, “Let’s donate money to the charities that support the United States Marine Corps and its community!” On that day, the ToolbarForMarines was born.
