The role of military advertisements isn’t to inform potential recruits of what life and conditions in the armed forces is like – it’s to entice the potential recruits to join the armed forces in the first place. Applicants enticed by commercials depicting young soldiers hanging out with pretty girls in bikinis still need to have the common sense to research the terms of their enlistment, service and future lifestyle if they want to pass their interviews and recruit training.
