Who thinks that Canada and the U.S. would make a good country as one?
There are several differences between Canada and the US that at this time I think would preclude their being able to come together gracefully. Each country has their problems and each has their benefits. But the simple fact of the matter is that both countries believe themselves to be superior to the other and as it stands. In the future if both countries could simply shed their air of superiority to look at and accept the good things that each has to offer and focus on these things while getting rid of the negatives they each have, then it would be a fantastic idea.
