Who thinks Oscars are the best type of fish to own?
I think Oscars are just more challenging fish to keep in a community is all. While in many cases, the fish some want to keep with an Oscar would prohibit that, you can very well keep Oscars in communities geared around the Oscar itself. Oscars are not the aggressive killers many people mistake them for. They are advantageous eaters is all. They have no sense to stop eating which is a draw back to keeping Oscars. Oscars however are very similar to another fish I keep, Nimbochromis Venustus. They have a habit of eating other fish as well. Oscars and Venustus however have quite a bit of character to them. I find that as part of the reward of keeping them. I’d say a better way to put this is that Oscars should be for experienced fish keepers, and not a beginning fish.
