Who thinks In Sickness and in Health and Till Death Us Do Part are suitable for Twelve classifications?
I guess it’s difficult to either be against or for this particular rating. It depends on when the program is/was broadcast, as well. I agree with the BBFC’s age restriction on this one, if for no other reason, both of those titles are actually part of the wedding vows. For those Americans who don’t know what “‘Till Death Do Us Part” is, think “All in the Family,” the shows American cousin. Then, Monty Python’s Flying Circus was on the air at the time when ‘Till Death Do Us Part” originally aired (the first series which started in 1965 and lasted until 1975). What classification do they give MPFC???? I’m guessing that the BBC is being lenient depending on what time a program is shown. But realize one thing… Warren Mitchell has been playing that character off and on again for 20 of the last 40 years. He’s been a force in English television since the mid to late 1950’s.
