Jenny formed the LA based band Rilo Kiley in 1998 along with Pierre De Reeder, Blake Sennett and Dave Rock (later replaced by Jason Boesel.) 3 years later, their first album (which they had independently recorded), Take Offs and Landings, was picked up by Seattle label Barsuk Records. In 2002, they released The Execution of All Things (Saddle Creek Records) and followed it in 2004 with More Adventurous. More Adventurous was the album that cemented Rilo Kiley firmly in the minds of the musical powers that be, and resulted in them finding widespread success on the indie scene.
