Who teaches the kids? What about safety?
Our counselors are members of the Pacific Whale Foundation education staff. All are over 21 and are college graduates. All of our counselors are CPR/First Aid trained and Lifeguard Certified. Our adult to student ratio is 1:10 or better. Additional adult volunteers provide support for off-site field excursions. All staff are required to show proof of negative TB status. When we are out of the classroom, we carry parent contact info and first-aid supplies with us.
