Ben Feinberg (BA 1987 University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MA 1991 University of Texas at Austin, PhD 1996 University of Texas at Austin) arrived at Warren Wilson in 1997. His specialties within cultural anthropology include Mexican culture, history, and ethnography, social theory, and identity formation. He recently published an article on “What Students Don’t Learn Abroad” in the Chronicle of Higher Education. He led his 3rd Worldwide trip to Southern Mexico in May-June 2005. His first book, called The Devil’s Book of Culture: History, Mushrooms, and Caves in Southern Mexico was published by the University of Texas Press in 2003.
