Placement testing will be required of all entering matriculated students, both full-time and part-time, unless they have taken the ACCUPLACER test within the past three years, have transfer credits in college-level English and math, have score of 500 or more on the SAT- verbal (English) and SAT-quantitive (math) test, High school graduates who score a minimum of 21 on the English and/or Math sections of the ACT may be exempt from the corresponding section(s) of the test or have had the test waived by the Admissions Office. Non-matriculated students who are taking courses for personal enrichment or career development are not required to take the placement tests, but are strongly encouraged to do so to facilitate advisement and enhance their chances for success.
