Who takes care of sending in the record of marriage to the Registrar Recorder/County Clerks office?
This is the responsibility of the minister, or whoever is performing the ceremony. The Registrar’s office gives you an addressed envelope at the time that you receive your paperwork. That envelope is given to the minister, along with the original signed marriage certificate, a request for certified copies and a check made out to the “Registrar Recorder/County Clerk” for $13.00 per certified copy. The minister puts all the information into the envelope and mails it out after the ceremony.
