Who signs US Postal Service forms?
Duke Postal Operations has assumed responsibility for Duke Permit 60. However, Duke Print Management staff (Roger Lewis, Sandra Hayes and several designees) are responsible for making Duke Permit 60 available to outside vendors. Approved vendors are responsible for being in compliance with postal regulations including performing NCOA services on mail lists, then obtaining appropriate signatures on Form 3602 for Non-Profit Standard Mail or Form 3600 for 1st Class on Permit 60. These forms need to include the name of a representative of the department doing the mailing, their phone number and Duke Cost Center. Unless these forms are completed properly the Post Office will likely reject or delay the mailing. You cannot prepare your own mail internally on Permit 60, unless you have special software or service capabilites. Copies of postal forms showing necessary data can be found at www.procurement.duke.edu.
