Who should undergo CT Coronary Angiogram?
Whenever, there is a suspicion of Coronary Artery Disease in a patient and routine tests are not helping(like chest pain with normal ECG/TMT) this test in these cases is of immense diagnostic importance and has a very high negative predictive value. As a regular health check up or a stand alone test, CT Coronary Angiography can lead to pre-emptive diagnosis of impending Coronary Artery Disease and many precious lives can be saved by getting ontime Angioplasty or CABG as prescribed by the Cardiologist/Cardio Thoracic Surgeon.
