Who Should Take Math Modeling?
Students who generally do well in this course are those who maintained a consistent “B” average in Geometry or an “A” average in Double-Block Geometry. However, even students with a less-than-stellar performance can do well in Math Modeling by consistently doing assignments and seeking help when they have difficulty. Students who had difficulty in Geometry or Algebra 1 would do well to take Math Modeling before attempting Algebra 2. Students with credit in Algebra 2 will benefit from reinforcement of Algebra 2 concepts that will hopefully help them when they take college Algebra courses.
