Who should prepare the audited financial report?
The audited financial report should be prepared by an independent Certified Public Accountant. Section 240.1520(n) of the CCP rules states: “Providers shall provide the Department with an annual audit report to be completed by an independent Certified Public Accountant and in accordance with 74 Illinois Administrative Code 420, Subpart D. The audit report shall be filed at the office of the Illinois Department on Aging, 421 East Capitol Avenue, #100, Springfield, Illinois 62701-1789, within 6 months from the date of the close of the provider’s business fiscal year.
