Who should not take Mirifem?
Mirifem should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation. Women who have cancer of the breast, ovaries or uterus should avoid any source of supplemental estrogen, as these tumors are sensitive to estrogen. Do not take Mirifem with birth control pills. The chemical structure of contraceptive pills is similar to Mirifem and can block the estrogen receptors in the breast. You can however take Mirifem with other forms of contraception or try our topical breast cream. If you suffer from heavy bleeding and cramps during menstruation, please consult your doctor before taking Mirifem.
