Who should NOT receive a Hot Stone Massage?

0

A person will not receive a Hot Stone Massage if they have an infectious skin disease, rash or open wound. If you have recently had surgery, are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy you will not be treated unless recommended by a doctor. If you are prone to blood clots you should avoid this treatment as it may cause a clot to become dislodged. If you are pregnant, elavating your core body temperature is not recommended and should be avoided. Hot Stone Massage will not be done over areas of bruising, inflammed skin, unhealed wounds, tumors, abdominal hernia’s or of recent fracture or injury.
