Who should not have a Dalmatian dog?

0

I used to have a Dalmatian. They are awesome! However, they are not for everyone. They are not for families that have only little children, because the Dalmatian is a bit hyper and will probably knock the poor tykes over in its enthusiasm. Also, it would not be for someone with a sedentary lifestyle, like the elderly, because Dalmatians have a lot of energy and need daily walks. They don’t do well as an outdoor-only dog, because they have no undercoat. You try sleeping outside through a winter night wearing only a windbreaker and see how you fare. Also, Dalmatians are very “needy” and crave human attention, so if you can’t give them the attention they need, it’s best not to get one. They get quite melancholy when no one’s there.
