My husband and I have never bought a home before, but it certainly seems like a good time. We would love to buy a home in the City of Decatur or in Candler Park/Lake Claire, but we don’t have a down payment. I have heard about programs offered by specific counties that offer down payment assistance to first-time home buyers but I can’t seem to figure out who the best resource would be for additional information.
