• Any forced-air heating system with ducts outside the conditioned space (attics, crawl spaces, un-condition basements, garages) • When ever equipment is being swapped out or upgraded, most utilities require ducts to be tested and sealed for equipment rebates • When purchasing a home with a forced air heating/cooling system • When animals have been found and removed from crawl spaces Your ducts may leak if: • If you experience high utility bills • Uneven heating and cooling • Your home has poor indoor-air quality • You have drafts from the ducts • Other work in attic or crawl has been done • Your ducts were originally sealed with tape • If your ducts are outside of your heated space they should be tested for tightness. • Both newer and older systems can leak.
