Who Should Evaluate the Leisure or Tourism Product?
Product Evaluation can be conducted by expert consultants, and/or by stakeholders in the tourism or leisure service industry. Intense, highly specific evaluations benefit from the objectivity and independence of a consultant. Ongoing evaluation efforts can be managed within the community, although it would be worthwhile to get outside help in setting up the process and/or interpreting the data. The tourism or recreation experience is what customers seek. The programs, services and facilities are the means by which those experiences are created and delivered. How well are they doing, separately and collectively, in efficiently and effectively making your customers glad that they came and eager to return?
