Who should be taking aspirin to prevent stroke?
Aspirin has been proven effective for patients that have had warning signs of stroke, including TIA. There is no evidence that people who are not at risk for stroke should be taking aspirin to reduce their stroke risk. There is some suggestion, however, that aspirin reduces the risk of heart attack in men who do not have symptoms.
