Who should be involved in making the decision?
Once the assessment exercises and the final interview have been held, the chair of the panel should lead the process of examining the evidence on each candidate and collating the scores. The final decision is for the governors, but you will need very strong reasons to reject the advice of the local authority representative or external consultant.
