Who should be credited with the TLC Dual Sync Mode?
The TLC Dual Sync Mode was designed starting in the Summer of 1999. It was born out of a SMPTE meeting in Hollywood to cover the complete 24P mastering process. This mode would not be possible without the help and feedback from our customers. I wish to acknowledge some of the customers who initially helped design this mode. Laser Pacific, 4MC, Encore Video Hollywood, Riot, Modern Videofilm, Hollywood Digital, Rainmaker, Rhinoceros, CCI, Eyes Post. Without their patience and troubleshooting, this system would not function properly. I also wish to thank both N-Vision and Evertz for manufacturing sync generators that make the TLC Dual Sync Mode possible. It is important to point out how a direct relationship with the customer is necessary to provide functionality in any tool. It would not have been possible to design this without their help. Continued feedback and suggestions are requested.
