Who Sets the Standards for What My Dog Eats?
Who gets to decide which dog foods and dog treats are “complete and balanced” or have “nutritional adequacy”? In my opinion, this is best determined by the educated pet owner in conjunction with their veterinarian, mixed in with both a bit of research and experience, plus a dash of conversation with dog owning friends. There is, however, a century old organization that many state and federal governments agencies defer to when determining their respecting standards for animal feed.
