Who sets Standing Contract prices in SA?
For those customers who are on a standing contract with AGL SA (electricity) or Origin Energy Retail (gas), the maximum price which can be charged by the retailer is limited by a price determination made by the Commission. The effect of the price determination is that the prices which are set by the retailers in June of each year for the coming financial year cannot exceed a revenue limit imposed on the retailers by the Commission.
