The mission statement was developed in 1985 as part of TJHSST’s original application to become a Governor’s school. It has been reviewed by faculty, students, and parent representatives periodically since then. As a result of the Blue Ribbon Commission (BRC)’s report, the School Board is re-examining the mission statement, and its implementing procedures, to determine whether they should be updated.
