Who serves on the Air Pollution Control Board?
The members of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors also serve as the Air Pollution Control Board for San Diego County. The five members are: Greg Cox (District 1), Dianne Jacob (District 2), Pam Slater-Price (District 3), Ron Roberts (District 4), and Bill Horn (District 5). The Board adopts local rules for controlling air pollution. Public hearings are held prior to adopting any rule or amendment to give citizens an opportunity to voice concerns. The Board also approves funding for the Air Pollution Control District’s operations. This funding comes from the state and federal governments, fees charged to local businesses and industries, and vehicle registration fees.
