Who selects the winner and what is the process like?
A committee, made up of 5 to 7 members, reviews the nominations and votes on a winner for each category. Committee members represent a cross-section of Housing and Food Services and one person from a commonwealth campus is always part of the committee. Committee members are instructed to choose a recipient based on the nomination, not on personal relationships or knowledge of the nominated individual. This way, the process is more equitable and nominations are given sole consideration over opinion.
