People all over the world have become very much concerned about the fact that our natural resources which produce lots of energy are getting decreased in quantity day by day due to abrupt climatic change. As a solution to this problem they are giving more attention in producing renewable energy. People of San Diego, USA have sited an extra ordinary example in this attempt. They have opened an apartment block which is 100% solar powered. There was a ramshackle motel where this new apartment block has been built up. The total cost of the project is $17.6 million. The new residents are coming in this week. Instead of air conditioning these apartments are kept cool through natural ventilation and ceiling fan. Water heaters, light bulbs and other appliances are all energy efficient. The most interesting part is that lights accidentally left on will automatically be turned off and bathroom fans will run until steam has cleared to prevent mould.
