Who says cats don’t have senses of humor?
People have told me that they love to hear stories about my two naughty cats. Recently, “the girls,” as I call them, have been providing endless fodder for me to indulge you, my cat-loving readers. Spider, 10, is by far the laziest creature I ever have met, and I’ve seen many a Saturday afternoon at college. Her idea of a little light baking is allowing her fur to reach 900 degrees F on the windowsill. Her hobbies are yawning, blinking, hiding under the bed from the doorbell, and being a feline kiln. I think she laughs when I do yoga in the living room. Gracie, 3, is my skinny, hyperactive Siamese mix who does whatever the voices in her head tell her to. Her hobbies include meowing at the ceiling, eating any unattended cereal, and divebombing me at 3 a.m. Gracie the fashion model Gracie wore a grocery bag gown for several minutes last week as I chased her around the house, trying to free her of it.
