Who says 40 is too young to retire?
People just don’t get Mark Juliano. He is 41, exploring the joys of sailing and acting and photography. After walking away from the breakneck world of e-commerce, he spends his days taking classes in anything and everything that interests him. Come summer, it’s leisurely vacations with his wife and four kids at their second home in Chautauqua. People look at the Sewickley resident who wears dark stubble between his weekly shaves and say, “You are much too young to retire.” “But that comes from a business model that existed 50 years ago,” Juliano says. “In Silicon Valley, you see guys retire at 25. People aren’t ready to deal with that. The word ‘retirement’ is a silly word.
