Mouse has lucky escape from lemur This mouse had a lucky escape when a lemur tried to snatch it in a Scottish zoo. As it sat nibbling a leftover crumb it failed to notice the inquisitive ring-tailed lemur eying it up. The hungry primate carefully eased its arm through the wire cage and moved its hand right above the rodent. But just as it made a grab for its prize an eagle-eyed zoo keeper spotted the ambush and leapt to the rescue. The moment was captured on camera by tourist Alasdair Preston. The 36-year-old warehouse worker from Bathgate, West Lothian, said: “I was visiting the zoo with friends and luckily I had my camera out ready. “They were in the lemur enclosure, where you can feed the animals, while I waited outside to take some snaps. “As I watched them I noticed this little field mouse scuttling around outside. “He
