Who said theres no monsoon season in North Carolina?
We weren’t sure if we could fit between the bars set to keep large boats out of the springs but we made it through. Crystal clear water, trees along the bank and sandy bottom – Jeff commented that it looked like the Caribbean. We paddled through each spring entrance and back. I’m not sure if I can explain this clearly but the springs are a combination of three spring areas that feeds into the main canal and two other small spring spots. I know there’s a large enough hole at the bottom of one of the springs but I couldn’t see if there was water being pushed through (or not). But then again, I was concentrating on paddling and not tipping over so it’s possible I missed it.
