Who said there aren software jobs and internships in the Central Valley?
At the May 10 meeting of the Central Valley Software Partnership, business executives were asked if they were currently looking for interns or employees. The response was an emphatic ‘yes’ with hands raised high. Mike Dodson, President of SJV Technology Group, commented, ‘I think bringing business owners together with students lets the students see that there are more jobs in the Valley than they thought and lets the business owners see that there are more qualified applicants than they thought.’ At last month’s Software Partnership meeting, students from Fresno State’s Computer Science and Information Systems and Decision Sciences departments made presentations to local software executives on a number of projects on which they have been working.
