SEF is administered by an all-volunteer board comprised of parents from the four schools in the Saratoga Union School District. The board usually has between 30 and 35 voting members, with many additional parents helping in supportive roles. The Superintendent, School Board members, and principals attend meetings in an advisory capacity. Board meetings are open to the public.
