Who runs a (RN) Naval Ship?
you can have captains, admirals, etc etc, rank structure is slightly different within the Royal Navy, but you also have flag officers, officer of the day etc etc, these will at certain times also be on the bridge, but also think about being a communications officer, some of them are not on the actual bridge but run all the other stuff in a room a bit below, but as it is all sonar / radar and comp work it is a good way of getting some serious skills for the outside the mob life. The size of the ship does usually have a higher ranking / time served officer in the bigger ships but remember until you have been in for some time the only thing you will be in charge of is a ship floating in your bath tub lol lol Enjoy your time if you go in, had a great time and my brother who did MUCH longer than I and retired out a couple of years back had a fantastic time.
