Who remembers Corona pop being delivered in glass bottles..??
Very well, & I remember the specially fitted lorry’s they used. We use to scour the village for empty bottles of any kind, beer bottles to the pub, pop bottles to the shop, and the Coronas to the Corona man. I remember when a new driver took on, & took a turn up-hill into a farm-drive in the village too fast. We kids were waiting at the top of this hill with bottles, & waiting for him to do his stops. Just about all the load on the outside of the turn peeled off the steps of the lorry! Of course, most of them smashed, & there was a rainbow stream running down the hill! Dandelion & Burdock & American Cream Soda were my favourites, my brother was an Lemon & Lime drinker.
