I can not discover a reference to an “original release” and all the information I have points to this answer: “Washing Machine Boogie” was released in 1957 by The “ECHO VALLEY BOYS” on Island Records. (Art Fulks, Merl Hoaf, Jackie Wooten, Roy Barker, and Marshall Looney). It is, however, often listed as “Wash!! Machine Boogie!” which could be why it was a bit hard to find.
