Who regulates Home Inspectors and Energy Performance Assessors?

0

Every Home Inspector and Energy Performance Assessor has to be qualified and certified by an approved and accredited scheme. This includes various background checks and a criminal records check (CRB). When Home Information Packs are introduced on 1 August 2007, there will be various redress schemes in place to which pack providers and Home Inspectors and Domestic Energy Assessors MUST belong. If problems arise consumers can go to Consumers Direct (the consumer-advice service supported by the Office of Fair Trading).
