The PGCLTHE leads to the award of a UCL certificate for 60 credits of M level study. It is also accredited by the Higher Education Academy against the UK Professional Standards Framework, which provides interinstitutional portability www.heacademy.ac.uk Completing the first module ‘Exploring Learning in Higher Education’ leads to recognition as an Associate of the HEA. (Standard 1 of the PSF). Completing the alternative first module ‘Adult Learning and Professional Development’ leads to recognition as an Associate of the HEA only if 100% of the assessed portfolio of work is contextualised in Higher Education. (Standard 1 of the PSF) Completing the second module ‘Developing the Curriculum in Higher Education’ leads to recognition as a Fellow of the HEA.
