Who qualifies to become a Naturalized US Citizen?
Before you can begin the US naturalization process you have to fall into one of the following categories: • You are a foreign national who has been a permanent resident of the US for five years; • You are a foreign national who has been a permanent resident for three years, who is currently married to a US citizen, and has been married to the same US citizen for the past three years; • You are a foreign national who has been a permanent resident and has served the US Armed Forces for at least three years; • You are a foreign national who served honorably in the US armed forces during a specified period of armed conflict.
