WHO QUALIFIES TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP TO UIPE?
The qualifications to apply to Membership to UIPE are as follows: A: FELLOWS a)That one who has attained the age of 33 years on the date of his or her application for election or transfer, and either. b) i) That one who has been a member of the Institution for a period of at least 3 years provided that in the case of a candidate who has possessed for 3 years the qualifications for election to membership the Council may waive the stipulation as to his or her having been a member, and ii) has held a position of such responsibility for at least five years in the Science or practice of Engineering as in the opinion of the Council justifies his or her election. c) or that he or her: i) has such knowledge of the Science or practice of Engineering and has acquired such eminence in his or her profession that his or her admission as a fellow would conduce to the interest of the Institution; and ii) is engaged in the Science or practice of Engineering. B: MEMBERS a)That one should be at least 25
