Who qualifies for Healthy Families?
Healthy Families is a program that offers low cost health and vision coverage to children who do not have any insurance and who do not qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal. While parents, legal guardians, foster parents, caretaker relatives, and/or step-parents can apply for coverage for any eligible children who are in their care, only the “birth” parents’ income will be considered in qualifying these children. Minors not living with parents may also apply for coverage for themselves.
