Who qualifies as an immediate family member?
Immediate family member is defined as: Employee’s child, spouse, domestic partner, civil union partner, parent and any other relative who is a member of the employee’s household. Please Note: a child is defined as a biological, adopted or foster child, a stepchild, a legal ward or a child of a person standing in place of the parent. A parent is defined as a biological parent, a parent-in-law, or a legal guardian.
