Who qualifies as a Prepared Food and Commodities vendor?

0

Prepared Food and Commodities vendors may only sell products made by the vendor. “Prepared foods” includes any food that has been processed beyond its natural state (i.e., baked goods, canned and pickled food, cooked food). “Commodities” include bath and body products. All prepared foods must be made in a certified kitchen as designated by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. Vendors must have submitted appropriate health inspection and kitchen certification records to the Market Square Farmers’ Market prior to approval as a vendor. Cheese, meat, and eggs are considered farm products not prepared food. Vendors of these products will be listed in the Farm and Garden Product category.
