Who provides the Supplemental Education Service providers?
Organizations are approved by the South Carolina Department of Education to provide the tutoring services to help increase the academic success of eligible children. There will be NO COST to the parents for these services; however a parent or his/her designee must provide transportation to and from the tutoring service. There are only a limited number of spaces available and all students may not be served. If the district is not able to provide extra help for everyone who requests it, a fair and equitable process will be used to make sure that students in greatest need receive services first. Participation in a supplemental service program is kept confidential. How can I meet the providers? Parent Fairs are held at every school so providers can talk with you about the available options and to answer any questions.
