Who promoted the Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management – Kerala?
The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management — Kerala was established in the year 2000 by the Government of Kerala with the objective of creating a centre of excellence in teaching and research in Information Technology (IT) and allied fields. The objective of the Institute is to conduct Post Graduate Programmes in Information Technology and to train professionals for the growing IT industry and research organisations. The Institute is driven with vision and direction by a Board of Directors constituted by the Government of Kerala comprising a team of accomplished and eminent persons from academia, IT Industry, Research and Development and Administration. Shri S Gopalakrishnan, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Infosys, Bangalore is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors, IIITM-K.
