Who Plays In The Soccer Items We Collect?
A. The soccer gear collected through this program is all designated for the Liga Menor de Futbol Intibucana’s youth teams. Presently we have 450 children playing soccer in La Esperanza. Our goals are to provide uniforms and soccer cleats for 2000 youth in La Esperanza within two years. Our five year goal is to have 5000 youth (boys and girls) playing in Intibuca. In addition, we are in the process of developing the Intibuca Youth Soccer Center as a residential soccer academy and complex. That means uniforms, nets, soccer gear, soccer fields, everything for these kids to be able to play the beautiful game. These kids are so grateful for these uniforms it makes all the work, coordination and effort worthwhile.
